Violet Prescott found solace through romance books and has been a reader since she was in middle school. Now, she’s studying entrepreneurship and marketing at Sunset Cove University.

Along with her education, she works at Sweet & Salty, Sunset Cove’s romance-only bookstore. She’s in the process of starting her own small business, a PR company for authors.

Grayson Becker spent most of his high school years living in a blur. Now, he’s the captain of the Sunset Cove University basketball team. On top of his extracurriculars, he’s studying sports management and nutrition. He has dreams of getting drafted into the NBA.

When Grayson and Violet were teenagers, they became inseparable and shared an all-consuming type of love. Unfortunately, something traumatic happens that causes them to vanish from each other’s lives.

Six years later, Violet surprises Grayson at one of his basketball practices. Before Grayson can get back into a relationship with her again, he needs to find out what happened on that terrible day all those years ago.
